Great importance is placed on providing quality and choice for residents with attractive, nutritious and varied menus. A local family butcher provides quality produce and seasonal fruit and vegetables are purchased fresh throughout the week. Special diets e.g. diabetic, vegetarian, cultural and special requests are catered for.


Resident’s meals are served either in their rooms or in the dining area overlooking the garden. Residents are encouraged to participate in the choice of dishes available on the menu. The menu rotates over 12 weeks to ensure variety. Three meals a day are served with wine offered in addition to normal beverages.


In addition to the main meals, drinks and snacks are available throughout the day. Family and friends are provided with drinks and are welcome to join a resident at meal times by prior arrangement.


Gold Awards for ‘Good food hygiene’, ‘for healthy eating’, and ‘5 for life’, have been awarded to the Chef and his team.
